Anne Markowitz Recht is a licensed Social Worker and a Certified Care Manager from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She is the founder and CEO of AMR Care Group; she was the Director of Family and Children’s Association’s Guardianship program. Anne’s previous career was in Marketing and she served as the Director of Marketing and Membership at the Mid-Island Y JCC for many years. AMR Care Group is a comprehensive Care Management and Companion Services Company with offices in Jericho and Manhattan.
Anne received a bachelor’s degree from Albany State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. She recently completed the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business program for successful entrepreneurs. Anne has spoken about various topics relating to aging for The New York State Bar Association, Women in Law Committee; The National Business Institute; Nassau Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association of the New York City Bar’s Health Law Committee as well as other professional and civic groups. She has also presented for Guardian and Court Examiner training for the NY State Office of Guardianship.
Anne is the recipient of the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation’s Outstanding Service Award for 2004; she is a member of the Bioethics Committee for the Cobble Hill Nursing Home. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the NY State Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association and is on the Advisory Board for Sid Jacobson JCC’s VTech Program, which finds jobs for people with disabilities.
