Laura Burns is the founding Partner of The Burns Law Group.
After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, Laura attended Hofstra University School of Law on scholarship.
At Hofstra, Laura was an active member on the Journal of International Business and Law and graduated with honors in Health Law Studies. Upon obtaining her JD Degree with a concentration in Health Law Studies, Laura enjoyed a successful career as a litigation attorney with major New York City and Long Island law firms. Laura is a member of the New York State, Nassau County and Queens County Bar Associations and is an active member of the Elder Law sections.
Laura’s involvement in Elder Law and Estate Planning began when a family member was diagnosed with an illness that required long term care planning. While navigating her family through the complex world of Elder Law, a passion to assist other individuals and families confronting similar circumstances was born. The Burns Law Group was founded on the basis of forming personalized, long term relationships with our clients while providing exceptional legal services.
